2-26-25    THOUGHTS

Some passages are so powerful that we need to visit them often.   Rejoicing in God’s  peace is good for us!  Which of us doesn’t need anxiety relieving  prayer? We want our hearts and minds guarded in Christ Jesus.  We want our hearts and minds fixed on things that are good and right and true.  It is good for us to DWELL on the things of God!  Beyond the mind-heart dwelling, we must practice the things we believe.  May our love-fellowship be saturated with what we read this morning!

Php 4:4-9     Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!   5  Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near.  6  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  7  And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  8  Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.   9  The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

My Prayer:
God, be with us in peace.  May we be rejoicing, gentle spirits in this world.  Help us to cast our care and anxiety on You, O Lord.  Teach us and help us to dwell on Your  ways.   Bless us as we practice what we have learned and believe.  Please guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
We pray in the name of our Savior,   Amen.
